HER DIARY
Day night, I thought he was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a cafe to have some coffee. I was shopping with my friends all day long, soIely thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment.Conversation wasn't flowing soI suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk, he agreed but he kept quiet and absent. I asked him what was wrong - he said, "Nothing."I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it hadnothing to do with me and not to worry.On the way home I told him that I loved him, he simply smiled and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior; I don't know why he didn't say, "I love u,too."
When we got home I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there and watched TV.; he seemed distant and absent.Finally Idecided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later he came to bed. I decided that I could not take it anymore,so I decided to confront him with the situation but he had fallen asleep. I started crying and cried until I too fell asleep. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is gonna be a disaster.

India level series 1-1 against South Africa in Kanpur
First time in the history of Test cricket 2 consecutive test matches got over within a period of 3 days. First in Ahmedabad and now in Kanpur. The difference was the test in Ahemdabad was won by South Africa whereas the test match in Kanpur by the host India.
India managed to level the series due to a disciplined effort and team work. The debate will always remain whether the pitch favored India. But what was more important that a match needs to be won whether the pitch favours you or not. The match belonged to anybody and the turning point for India in the match was the partnership between Sreesanth and Ishant Sharma.
The first innings lead which India got proved to be crucial since it put a lot of pressure on the South Africans. South Africans started the match well after having won the toss and deciding to bat. After being more than 150 for 1, they lost quick wickets to end the first innings on the first day at 265. Harbajan Singh and Ishant Sharma bowled well and managed to take 3 wickets each. Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag too did a good job with the ball.
The teamwork could be seen in India’s batting too. Saurav Ganguly can however be singled out and deserved the man of the match award for his 87. There were useful contributions by Laxman (50) and Yuvraj and Dhoni who made 32 each. At 9 wicket down and with close of play on the second day India had a lead of 23 runs. It looked India would wind up the day early next morning. But the tail showed some resistance and made a record of the second highest 10th wicket partnership. India thus managed to give a lead of 60 runs which proved costly for the South Africans.
The South African coach Micky Arthur had mentioned at the end of the second day that a lead of 23 runs was not too much, however if the lead extends to 50 runs then it will be crucial. Further he mentioned that if the South African manage to give a score of 150 runs, it would be a difficult chase in the fourth innings.
The fact that India gave a 60 run lead gave them a psychological advantage and put pressure on the South African team and they succumbed to 122 runs. Harbajan Singh used the turning track to his advantage and managed to grab 4 wickets, whereas Sehwag took 3 wickets in the second innings.
India knocked off the 62 runs losing both the openers. Sehwag scored 22 runs which included 2 consecutive sixes getting out trying to hit the third one.
Like I mentioned in my previous post, India always has a psychological advantage when it plays 6 batsmen and a bowler short. In most cases it alteast ensures that India don’t lose the match. In fact if the batsmen perform well then the bowlers get the confidence of taking 20 wickets.

Is The Team Selection to blame for the dismal performance by India
Tendulkar injured meant that he would not be playing the second test against South Africa. The poor performance of the pacers R P Singh and Sreesanth and a track meant to help the spinners at Ahmedabad meant that Piyush Chawla would be preferred over one of the pacers if the Team decided to play five bowlers and Irfan Pathan could open the bowling and fill in the gap of the batsmen and act as an allrounder.
The question was whether the team should have played 5 bowlers and strengthened their bowling or continued to have played 6 batsmen. Logic required the Indian think tank to have gone in with 6 batsmen since we had lost our most important batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Thus Yuvraj Singh should have been taken in place of Sachin Tendulkar. India could have taken a step further to strengthen their batting by taking Irfan Pathan instead of R P Singh.
I have also noticed in the past that whenever India have tried to strengthen their bowling trying to take 20 wickets in the match to win the match, they have instead lost the match by weakening their batting. The Indian batsmen play under pressure which requires a strong batting line up in order to survive a match. I guess a strong batting line up suits the Indian team better since they are able to put pressure on the opposition by putting up a good score. If there are 4 good bowlers they are able to do the job of getting the wickets and winning the match.
According to me the ideal team would have been
Virender Sehwag, Wasim Jaffer, Rahul Dravid, V V S Laxman, Saurav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, M S Dhoni, Irfan Pathan, Anil Kumble, Harbajan Singh and Sreesanth.

1) India won the toss and elected to bat in the Second Test Match against South Africa. They were bowled out for 76 runs. Irfan Pathan who was not out on 21 was the highest run scorer. South Africa finished the day at 223 for 4 wickets.
2) Hyderabad Heroes (147 for 6) beat Chennai Superstars (142 in 19.5 overs) to reach the finals of the Second League of ICL
3) ICL - Lahore Badshahs (182 runs) beat Kolkata Tigers by 7 runs. Lance Klusener made 91 runs but his efforts went in vain as Kolkata Tigers lost.
4) The finals between Hyderabad Heroes and Lahore Badshahs is today (4-4-08) at 7 PM IST time. The live coverage will be available on Zee Sports.

I Love Sachin Tendulkar
Today I am starting a new post about the Legend on Cricket. This post is mainly to show the fact that Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest cricketer.
